Back protectors are built for racing, skiing, horse riding. Not for the millions of people who ride a scooter through the city every day, in their normal clothes. So we built one that works with what you already wear.
Why the back
The back takes the worst of it. It is also the hardest piece to wear casually, which is why most urban riders skip it. We started from that problem, not from the product.
Components we trust
SAS-TEC Germany. Viscoelastic foam, CE Level 2 certified. Soft while you ride, stiff on impact.
Fidlock Germany. One-handed magnetic attachment. It keeps the Kit in place; the straps do the holding.
Where we stand
The SAS-TEC insert inside the Kit is CE Level 2 certified. The complete Nutsh Kit is built to EN 1621-2 and is going through certification with a notified body.
Who we are
Nutshell Project S.L. Four people in Barcelona. We ride to work, to the gym, to dinner, and we weren't wearing back protection either. Nutsh Lab started as a fix for ourselves.
